Acharya Nagarjuna University is known as ANU, the university is located at Namburu, in the Andhra Pradesh state of India. The University was founded in 1976 by the Government to promote formal education in the region. The university has various affiliated institutes throughout the Andhra Pradesh state.

The university is approved by UGC and accredited by NAAC with an A grade. The Centre for Distance Education of this university is also approved. The main objective of this university is to provide the best quality of education at a very low cost.
