Tamil Nadu is a state open university and was founded in 2002. The TNOU is a reputed universitywhich  offers various courses through distance mode. TNOU distance learning was recognized by an Act under 27 in 2002 by the Government of Tamil Nadu state. This was the first open university that offers distance learning courses. 

Some popular courses of university are MBA, B. Com, MA, M. Sc, BBA, etc. All the courses of this university are approved by NCTE, RCI, UGC, and DEB. The main aim of founding of this university is to offer the best education to physically disabled/ handicapped/ underprivileged as well as working professionals who are not able to complete their education due to any kind of issues or those who can’t afford higher fees.

Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) Distance Education Admission Procedure is given below:

• First applicants need to visit the official website i.e. tnou.ac.in
• From the home page click on the Online Admission from the right side of the screen
• A registration page will open- enter the required information such as name, email address, mobile number, etc.
• Fill the application form with other details and submit it

Required Documents

• Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
• Graduation degree mark sheet
• Character certificate
• Category certificate
• Valid identity proof

Eligibility Criteria 

For UG Programs- Candidates should have to complete an Intermediate degree in a relevant field from the recognized board

For PG Programs- Applicants should have to complete a Bachelor degree in a relevant stream from the recognized university
